AMR support in osmo-nitb

LCR is compiled with the correct codecs, but looking at the MNCC traffic I only get GSM FR coming from the osmo-nitb side. [Patch]: Nokia: make hopping a user changeable parameter

Dear Holger, Thanks for the commit on my previous patch. Here is a new one: This pacth makes hopping type (baseband or RF) a user changeable parameter. Tested with: - MetroSite: baseband and RF hopping works - UltraSite: RF hopping works As previously, the default behavior of OpenBSC is not changed. If the configuration parameter is not provided, it will default to baseband hopping, as before. It builds against the latest version of OpenBSC master. Regards, Csaba

Dear Holger, I think I found a better way for initialization. The attached version of the patch builds against latest master OpenBSC, contains the fixes I missed from the previous version. Tested: 1. Without using the config parameter, the reset timer defaults to 15 seconds (as before), 2. With the configuration parameter, the reset timer will use the specified value. Tested with: InSite (daisy chained, two BTSes), MetroSite and UltraSite units. Will create another patch for hopping (both baseband and sytheiser hopping works, but it needs a change in the sourcecode, like the reset timer before). There is another minor problem at the moment: UltraSite needs additional time after OMU configuration done, before it can bootstrap the RSL links. This is due to the fact that UltraSite starts to load the TRX SW after it got the "Use current" command, and it takes arouned 45-50 seconds for the TRXes to be ready for LAPD. So to first RSL bootstrap should be delayed after OMU config complete is received by the BSC. Now the RSL link is bootstrapped right after the OMU is configured and the LAPD link times out way before the TRX will be ready for LAPD. Will try to create a patch for this too, until then, a small hack can make this problem go away (changing n200 parameter to 100). Hello I have a question on sms Is it possible to send hex data using telnet localhost port 4242 I saw the posting in forum about SMPP+OpenBSC (march-april 2014), which talk about Kannel Can somebody suggest how to configure Kannel with OpenBSC. regards Ramesh

Hello Its says in OpenBSC_crypto that "The keys will be stored in the table AuthKeys? of the hlr databse". I don't see that, is there any setting to get that. I am using sqlitebrowser to open HLR regards Ramesh

Dear Holger, Here it is. Patch description: This patch adds the ability to change the RESET_TIMER parameter. This change affects the Nokia Site family only, and it is important for multi-BTS setups. (eg. multiple InSite units daisychained and UltraSite). The parameter can be set in the config file with the following syntax: nokia_site bts-reset-timer <15-100>. The default value is 15 seconds. Tested with InSite, MetroSite and UltraSite units. Thanks! Osmo-trx and USRP1

All mighty list, I am stuck and hope you can help. I know the USRP1 is no longer supported (and so libusrp), but the USRP1 is the only thing I have access to at the moment. I have gotten Osmo NITB working with the USRP1 previously, but this new install seems to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 and I have gnuradio-3.4.2 installed (for libusrp) and I followed the directions here: http://openbsc.osmocom.org/trac/wiki/network_from_scratch and http://openbsc.osmocom.org/trac/wiki/OsmoTRX Running OpenBSC and OsmoBTS seems to be working fine. Issuing uhd_usrp_probe works and returns the details of the USRP1 with two daughtercards and I have the USRP1 connected to clocktamer and properly clocked at 52MHz. All the hardware modifications have been done on the USRP1. meas_feed fails to compile if libcdk5-dev is not installed

Hi Harald, OpenBSC fails to compile because meas_feed unconditionally depends on cdk.h. If this file is not available, configure just issues checking cdk/cdk.h usability... no checking cdk/cdk.h presence... no checking for cdk/cdk.h... no but does not fail. On the other hand, the meas_tool's Makefile does not check for the result of that check before starting the compilation. So IMO either the configure script should abort (and the package added to debian/control) or the compilation of meas_feed should be optional.
