Hello guys,
Suppose I have 8 MS registered on my nanoBTS and the ninth wants also to register. How can I tell the ninth MS "Sorry dude, there is no room for you, try another ARFCN"? I've checked the REJECT causes in gsm 04.08, but couldn't really find one which is informing the BTS is out of free channels.
Now my mobile keeps trying to register to my nanoBTS, although I rejected him with a standard cause. Maybe someone can give me a hint where to look at?
Thanks.
Nordin, you seem to have some very, very big misunderstandings about how GSM works, sorry.
You can have an unlimited number of phones registered, as long as they don't want to talk/sms/location_update all at the same time.
Hi Harald,
It's not that I've studied the GSM spec in details, I just heard from people and read in some articles there are 8 channels per ARFCN and thus 8 MSs can talk on each freq. I'm relatively new to this technical specs.
But thanks for the answer anyway.
