Hi,
I'm using osmo-nitb in a testing environment and I've soon received a request to enable SMS delivery reports.
After looking on the user manual, I couldn't find anything related to this.
I've also enabled debug logging and tried to grep for something like that when sending a SMS between two handsets that have SMS delivery reports enabled, without finding out anything. (SMS delivery reports tested and worked on a public telephony system, for those two handsets)
Is there such an option available in osmo-nitb to enable delivery reports?
--- Thank you, Stefan

I recently run into a similar issue with delivery reports not being sent to an ESME, but the code paths are not the same afaik: https://osmocom.org/issues/2353
I just created a task to remember to implement your test case in osmo-gsm-tester with two ofono modems in the future: https://osmocom.org/issues/2374
Stefan,
Delivery reports are not implemented in OsmoNITB, unfortunately. If you have a commercial interest in this, may be you could implement it? :)

No, and implementation of an SMSC in the osmo-nitb itself is rather basic. The nitb is more or less EOL anyway and I think this is going to go in the direction of an external SMSC.
Working delivery reports should be the result of the next expected code commit that Rhizomatica (and collaborator) are working on. I hate to make promises, only to have to look back and say "yes I said it'd be ready by, but" however I'd hope to see it in master by end September. Look forward to testing with you! Do you have an interest in working on this, and an open source solution for all the parts of the SMPP, SMSC, ESME, Store and forward and queueing puzzle? k
