Is there a way for osmo-bts-trx to get osmo-trx version programmatically (at runtime)?
Not that I'm aware off. Why do you need that? It can be added.

It's not strictly speaking needed, just think it would be nice to add it as part of the data we report via OML: see https://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1614 for details.
