Hi,
Found a perl (!) SIGTRAN stack on the net, thought someone here might be interested. Includes a very basic HLR emulator and various other bits. Looks fairly easy to extend to send/respond to various GSM MAP messages, could be useful for testing.

Hi,
thanks. the difficulty is not so much in message generation and parsing (once you have proper ASN1 support), the difficulty is more on how you separate processes and data to create a reliable and scalable system.
On the ironic side we now have two approaches to that (in erlang and in smalltalk). :)
