how about opening the sub-project osmocomSIM ? This could include: - SIMtrace from Harald - SAP server from Andreas - SIM on javacard from Sébastien - future software/virtual SIM which could use SAP server - speaking about A38, Ki, SIM features, ...

what exactly do you mean by subproject? Using a separate trac installation, mailing list, ...? I think that might be a bit too much fragmentation.
But then, I'm not very clearly decided on this. SIM card tracing/emulation clearly is not a 'baseband' related task, so it may be an option to do this independently.
At least I like the idea of splitting SIM card and OsmocomBB related stuff much better than the recently proposed user/developer split of the list.
What do others think?

I meant only a new address (sim.osmocom.org) and new "trac". So to have a separate project page/wiki. I don't see the need to have separate mailing-list,git,... for now because the traffic is low.
