in our company we do it this way:
- a conference number is dialed by all members.
- a phone with hands free option can be used on one place where multiple members are.
- netmeeting is used for presentation. this can also be via VNC remote desktop.
A conference call sounds good. If it is done this way, I would participate too.
Best regards, Dieter
I'd also like a conference call. Only I'd like to suggest using a Skype conference call. Calls to Berlin can be expensive if they last an hour or more.

sorry, but I will never even get anywhere close to this proprietary voip protocol or any of it's non-free implementations.
I have no idea if there's any working SIP or H323 setup at the CCC Berlin.
As indicated before, I really don't want to turn this into a phone conference. It simply has no point to me.
im also up for a conf call in whatever form (but agree skype would be nice). If not that then some way to hear the conversion and add questions a queue in IRC that someone there could relay would also work. I've started working on JTAG and it would be great to discuss this adhoc, get some direction from the group.

Hi Nathan,

Ok, what do you think of the following proposal:
1) We have our meeting in Berlin for the people who happen to be local.
2) We schedule some (regular, e.g. weekly) discussion/Q&A session on IRC where some of the more "senior" project members (like myself) are present.
Keeping those two separate seems to make more sense to me.
What would be your preferred day of the week for those IRC sessions? I'm extremely flexible as long as it is somewhere between 9am and 10pm German time...
IRC is fine. weekly is perhaps more than i can bite at the moment so i can get on biweekly for me but im sure plenty of other people would fit the weekly. any day is fine by me.

ok, so I'd recommend we schedule it at something like 8pm CEST on every monday night. Any objections to that schedule?
The idea is that all developers are encouraged to hang out on IRC at that time, so people can ask questions as needed. I will make sure to be there as often as possible.
