Hello,
Just a note about the RS-232 cable from Dealextreme:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14664
This is a direct connection cable, this means that there is no level-converter between the phone and the RS-232 port from the PC. Despending on the RS-232 port of the PC, I would expect that this can/will damage the phone. I have one of those cables here and can confirm that there is no level-converter in between.
Best regards, Dieter
I have this cable and that seems to be the reason why nothing works here. See attached file.
How can i change the cable to get it working? What is a level-converter and where can i get such?
Thanks a lot

You need something like a MAX3232 to convert between 9V and 3.3V levels for both directions. You can find many example schematics on the net.
Since you don't seem to know anything about it, I recommend simply buying a different cable.
I went today to my electrical-shop in the city. They want 12€ for that peace ... I will buy it now on ebay :)
