On the one hand it would be handy to have all authentication and encryption algorithms consolidated in one library behind common API, on the other hand it takes lots of time and efforts to push patches to libosmocore (kasumi patches are pending review for months). Is there any interest of having LTE encryption and authentication implementation for libosmocore or it's not worth trying?
