Hi *,
i have an Motorola C123 without a battery and without a charger.
Can someone told me pinout of the battery Connector so that I can connect a nokia battery?
Or can I use a 5v power supply and connect it to the charger port and the phone boots without a main battery?

If you open the battery compartment, you see the connector on the bottom, starting from left:
- / TEMP / + (SIM Connector)
Just attaching a charger doesn't work. But you can can basically attach any charged 3.7 Volts LiIon/LiPo battery, the pin between - and + isn't needed for operation (charging excluded).

Hi folks.
In the last three weeks i had to learn for my exams...
Since the interrupt base communication with the card is basicly working i will now try to run a T=0 Protocol stack on it.
regards. Philipp
Hello,
what is exactly the CPU you're using, and the schematic? I bought a card breakout board to run some tests, I'd be happy to help / test
I have C code for T=0, maybe you can do something with it.

It is the Calypso / Iota chipset ;-) I have implemented transmit and receive functions and the reset power up also works.
I just need to implement the protocol and to give it a nice API.
I have C code for T=0, maybe you can do something with it.
It would be interesting to have a look at it - there is always something left to learn.
thanks Philipp

Oh, yeah, sorry, now I remember ^_^

Nice. After that, we'll try implement this API for pcsclite too.

This is java code ;)
But the protocol is still here :) I'll send you that.

thanks

Hi, i already tried this with an half charged nokia battery and the phone doesnt bootup. i only used the bare circuit board without the housing. is there a switch to chek if the case is closed and the phone only works when the case is closed? maybe i have to try it with a fully charged battery. what is the voltage and oinout of the charger? i guess 5v DC and + in the middle?

at least for my C155 there is no 5V but 3.6V

Hi,

The pinout is GND/-, Temperature, Vbat/+.
GND/- is at the PCB edge, Vbat/+ is towards the center.
My phone will power up if I supply 3.6V to the terminals and hold the "red" button for 2 seconds.

Maybe it's like the nokia 3310: http://www.embedtronics.com/nokia/fbus.html Read the section: "Nokia 3310 Battery connections"
I don't have a Phone here, so i can just guess.
