Hello,
I couldn't find any possibility to register for a trac-account. I assume it is intentional that only the maintainers may change content (I could see reasons for that)? If so, is there a chance to keep the todo-list updated? I know by now that there is already work ongoing for the C155-display driver. I just became unsure which other topics may already been worked on.
Kind regards,
Wolfram
PS: One for the news section maybe?

I think right now there is no big difference between the people who have git commit access and those who can write to the wiki.
I would rather want to get more poeple involved in updating the wiki than to have them send patches. Also, the wiki has more public visibility than the files in the repo.

Anyone can get an account by sending me an e-mail requesting it. We've just already had our share with wikispam and I think the number of poeple who are involved in the project and thus need an account is really small.
Especially those developers who were part of the project before we went public all already have an acocunt anyway.

Everyone who does a task should remove it from the list.
In general I would like to see much more contribution to the wiki... there are a number of people who are already playing with our code, and the wiki wold benefit a lot from more complete and current information.

I've updated the AreasOfWork page to the best of my knowledge right now.

thanks, added.

So then it would be nice if you could create an account for me, since I would like to change some things on the C155 and J100i pages, especially regarding the used display controllers and ringtone chips.
Currently I am working on a display driver for the J100i, and I have done some experimental work on the ringtone chip in the C155 and J100i.
I thought the commandset used on the SPMA100 and the MX chip were similar, but I was wrong, since I found out that they are completely different. I wrote some testing code to "scan" scan registers of both chips, which I will commit later in a drivers-experimental branch.
At least I can turn and off the speaker in the J100i, and hear some analog noise ;)
I also have some changes to the UWire driver to create a proper chip-select, which is needed by the display of the J100i, and in the next days I will add some init files for the C140 and J100i, moving redundant code to the board/common folder.

great, just sent your account details privately.

this is good news. I'm happy somebody is taking care about the non-GSM side of those devices... one thing less I have to worry about.
