As none of my projects is complete without wireshark integration, SIMtrace abuses the GSMTAP format to feed messages into wireshark. A simplistic wireshark dissector for the GSM TS 11.11 APDUs is included, and it is expected to become much more complete in the fuutre (USIM
support,
parsing of file contents, etc.)
hi laforge,
cool project!
i think it can be usefull to debugging the sim client/reader of osmocom-bb. as DATA_IND/DATA_REQ is already tapped at layer23/src/common/l1ctl.c, it would be cool if SIM_IND/SIM_REQ will be tapped for wireshark too.

andreas
interesting idea, andreas.
i think it should be pretty easy: simply generate GSMTAP_TYpE_SIM messages, the new type is defined in gsmtap.h of current libosmocore.git -- Sent from a mobile device, excuse my short response
Hello,
I'm wondering about the hardware.
here, we have an open pcd board.
Can't we use some free gpio lines on this device, reprogram the cpu, and get it going?
We have some correct card connectors, too, so if that's just a matter of soldering some wires on the openpcd board, I'd be happy to test that !

you would have to check the schematics of openpcd, but i think it is not easily possible.
however, devices like the olimex sam7-h64 are inexpensive and peovida all io lines.

Would be there a difference in FW to be used for this board (as I understand current implementation is SAM7-P64) ?
