I've been meaning to ask this question for a while and am just now getting around to it-- does the Um in UmTRX mean something significant in Russian?

As mentioned earlier, one meaning is that Um is a name of the GSM air interface. The other meaning is that in Russian "um" ("ум") means "intellect".
