Error while installing SIMtrace 2 host PC software

Hello.I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on VirtualBox. And I need to install SIMtrace 2 host PC software. I use this instruction https://osmocom.org/progects/simtrace2/wiki *Preconditions* libosmocore, libpcsclite and libusb. to install those packages: sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0-dev libosmocore-dev libpcsclite-dev *Compiling it*: git clone git://git.osmocom.org/simtrace2.git cd simtrace2/host/ make ...and when I do *make* I get such mistake: cc -Wall -g pkg-config --cflags libusb-1.0 libosmocore -o simtrace2-remsim.o -c simtrace2-remsim.c simtrace2-remsim.c:51:10: fatal error: osmocom/sim/class_tables.h: No such file or directory #include ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. Problem with QMOD, Telit Modem and ofono

Hello list, I seem to be hitting a strange problem trying to use a sysmoQMOD with Ofono and a Telit Modem (HE910) There seems to be a window of around 30 seconds after starting osmo-remsim-client-st2 whereby ofono cannot talk to the modem. There is no response to any AT commands on either the Modem or the Aux port. After about 30 to 40 secs AT commands start working again and I can enable the modem. It seems that switching from physical SIM to remote SIM causes the modem to lock-up for a while. Anyone else seeing a similar issue? I've upgraded the firmware to the latest (0.5.1.24-bb9b0) but it make no difference. Simtrace not responding

Hello, We have simtrace v2. When we connect the device through USB to a laptop it does not respond. None of the lights turn on. It does not respond to any commands. ./simtrace2-lists shows Device = 0. Can you give us some suggestions on how to use the device and if this is the normal behavior? Thank you for your time.

Issue compiling simtrace branch firmware for simtrace2

Hi, Firstly - I am able to compile, flash and run the master branch of the software on my simtrace2 hardware without issues - thanks to all concerned. I wanted to try out the mitm and ccid with my simtrace2, and I *think* that the laforge/cleanup branch is the most recently worked on branch of developmental code, so I tried to compile that and ran into problems. So far I have noticed two issues: 1. Errors like this: error: implicit declaration of function 'board_exec_dbg_cmd'; (which can be changed to a warning by removing the -Werror-implicit-function-declaration in the Makefile) 2. This error: src_simtrace/main.c:81:40: error: 'PIN_PRTPWR_OVERRIDE' undeclared here ... (This error appears hard, as PIN_PRTPWR_OVERRIDE is only in include_board/qmod/board.h, and not in include_board/simtrace/board.h) I guess I am doing something silly - but I just cannot see it. Can someone help? By the way - am I correct in thinking that laforge/cleanup is the most recent/most worked on MITM code for the simtrace2? Cheers Hugh

IMEI filtering

I would like to know How sim card is requesting IMEI from mobile device and is it protected only by CHV ? If so can I filter communication and change my mobile device IMEI number to something else ? Thanks.

simtrace2 just sits and does nothing : any suggestions?

Hello list, I've been playing with the sysmoQMOD board and I find that more often than not the remsim-client justs sits there waiting for something [1] when I list the modem using ofono/test/list-modem [2] it shows that there is no SIM present. I've tried a Telit modem and a Sierra Wireless modem and both do the same thing. Sometimes it works but more often than not it justs sits there. I've tried using the 'uhubctl' tool to power cycle the modem but this has no effect on the st2 client. It deletes the modem instance and cretes a new one in ofono. Anyone have any suggestion of what I can try to trigger the modem to do something? Or how I can get some debug info from the card? Beginner: Need guidence in setting up the simtracer 2

Hello all, I have newly ordered the Simtracer 2. I have received the same today. I would like to have some guidence from you, how to proceed now. Should I load a firmware on the module?, which software should I use? how to track the message exchanges from the sim to mobile. There are several manuals, could u please tell which one to read?
