I suggest the following compromise: We keep the backward compatibility in this patch and we will also bump the version number. OsmoBTS will keep working as well as the TTCN3 tests (we will of course give this a final check before merging this.) This will allow us to merge the ericsson support much quicker and we will have enough time to migrate OsmoBTS and the related TTCN3 tests.
