I'll have to look at this kind of architectural change *very* carefully and after tring to meditate again about a lot of the sigtran/ss7 related context.  Given my incredibly high workload these days I don't think I'll realistically have time for it soon.  Bu this is really the kind of change that feels like it would needs a lot of consideration :(
