How about resetting this in f_init_ipa()? Otherwise with Misc_Helpers. […]

I'd say it's not much of a problem since usually tests, unless validating specific stuff, are using 1 ASP with 1 AS, so it doesn't really matter in that scenario. Tests willing to test a specific feature should anyway be setting this explicitly anyway.
