Ok, but what downsides does this bring to other testsuites? In the past we already did switch some components to `alive` unconditionally and I don't remember seeing any problems with that. I am not against making things configurable, just trying to understand whether we need this flexibility. Maybe the S1GW testsuite would also benefit from making it `alive`?
