@jolly just tested with a Omnikey 6121, which apparently actually transmits it to the card and gets  […]
well, the question is rather: what does the cm6121 actually transmit on the ISO7816 side, if there's nothing to transmit.  Or does it simply fake that weird status word?  I guess that's more a bug in their firmware...
