I find the discussion a bit bizarre. Yes, spaces in file names require proper quoting. so do many other characters. It's not an insurmountable difficulty, but a basic fact of life in IT ;)

Likewise for component names. If there's a way to quote them, then that is no a hack or impossible. It's just how things are done.
