What do you mean with "to avoid duplicate configuration" here? where would the duplicate configurati […]
duplicate would mean that both the PCU and the BSC would have to have "matching" configuration of how the E1 timeslots are used. Prone to error and complex. I like the approach to keep the information in one place (BSC, which already has E1 related config), and informing the other (PCU) via some message/socket.
