Nope, you're still making use of this package in preceding patch (https://gerrit.osmocom.org/c/pysim/+/32532), but adding it as a dependency here. As I said, you should add it in or before the first patch actually using this package.

I think This is about pylint. I am not sure if it makes that much sense either but lets continue the discussion in: I129b8c90ac80d75e125c81f5d5028fae3e295e6d

I don't see how extending the jenkins job would help here. In `contrib/jenkins.sh` we're executing the unit tests and `pySim-{prog,read}.py`. AFAICS, `pySim-shell.py` is not being executed, so this will unlikely help with catching compatibility issues. Someone will need to extend the testing coverage first, for instance by running `pySim-shell.py` scripts against real SIM cards (like we already do).

osmith has submitted this change. ( https://gerrit.osmocom.org/c/osmo-gsm-manuals/+/32689 )
Change subject: VTY references: set git version and date
......................................................................
VTY references: set git version and date
Fix that VTY references currently don't have the version from which they
were generated. Set the same REVNUMBER and GIT_DATE variables in
Makefile.docbook.inc (gets included in Makefile.vty-rference.inc)
as in Makefile.asciidoc.inc. Use them with a new script to rewrite the
<revhistory> block of vty references.
Closes: OS#4063
