Still the same afaik: some proprietary implementations we want to support didn't yet move to TRXDv1.

It does not look like proprietary implementations will get support of more recent TRXD versions at all. As I tried to explain in the commit message, per-lchan detection of missing bursts will compensate missing bursts in the absence of NOPE indications (i.e. when using TRXDv0), so this is not a blocker.
