Hi,
I was just wondering if this radio will be supported. Patrick McHardy posted a message last september saying he was working on it, but I haven't been able to find any further messages about this topic.
I have some code which I'd say is about 80% complete, but I haven't been working on this lately since I don't own such a device and the remaining changes are to the firmware, which most likely requires quite a bit of debugging before it will work, so its impractical to do without a device.
Cool.
My device is in pieces right now but I can put it together and send it over to you if you like.
Its probably a Type-III card, right? I don't think I can put those in any of my notebooks. I have some PCI adaptors for PCMCIA, but I have no idea whether these can take Type III cards.
Just checked, they're also Type II only. If you can give me access to a system with a LMX3161 and some DECT station nearby I could try to make it work remotely.
Yeah it's a type III (ascom voo:doo) but the reason it's in pieces right now is because I was modifying it to fit in my laptop's type II slot. (by moving the radio tin outside) So I need to finish it up anyway.
Your other option sounds good as well, I have a gigaset (model no. escapes me at the moment but it's a fairly recent one) at home and I could give you access to my laptop but I'm in the middle of moving so that'll be in February at it's soonest.
I'll email you when I get a chance to set it up for you.
