Hi All,
I read a previous thread on adding NB-IoT support and wanted to know if there is any update on this topic. We are very interested in contributing to the development. In fact, we have a working NB-IoT testbed (commercial UE, eNB and EPC) and we can share pcap traces.
Let me know!
Best Regards, Giovanni

I am very interested in the topic of enabling NB-IoT support in open5gs.
However, my deep involvement with Osmocom doesn't currently allow me to spend a lot of time on it.
However, I think it would indeed be very useful to get pcap trackes of *all* relevant interfaces from S1 upwards for the most common types of transactions. In fact, this would be an educational resource even beyond open5gs.
I am happy to offer creating some kind of wiki page[s] with annotations and to split/filter the pcap files for easier consumptions, possibly even draw some related ladder diagrams using mscgen.
Regards, Harald
I am also interested in NB-IoT. If you have pcap trace, could you share it with me? If so, this project will be of great help in doing the work that supports it.
Thank and regards, Sukchan

Hi All,
Sorry to chime in uninvited, but as far as I know srsLTE has NB-IoT capabilities, at least partially, no? It might be useful for core network development to have an open source model of the RAN side available. Just my 2 cents.
Kind regards, Domi

quite limited support, mostly in the PHY and only on the UE side.
There's no NB-IoT support on the srsENB

That is always useful. But somebody needs to contribute the related work.
Hi Sukchan, All,
Thanks for your interest. Attached are two pcaps:
1. UE pings 8.8.8.8 2. UE (with IP address 192.168.2.2) sends TCP packets to a remote server
The traces have been recorded from the MME.
Best Regards, Giovanni

Hi, Giovanni
That is exactly what I need to implement NB-IoT. I'm really appreciated that you share the packet.
I'll try to implement NB-IoT feature in Open5GS project soon.
Thanks again! Sukchan
