So far three persons have indicated their interest to join a meeting at my place. Considering the time it takes to drive to my place, it probably makes sense to have the meeting at the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) so that there is more time for the meeting itself. I can suggest one of the following dates for the first meeting, somewhere between 10:00 to 18:00 on each day: 25.8. (Sa) or 26.8. (Su) 1.9. (Sa) or 2.9. (Su) 8.9. (Sa) or 9.9. (Su) So please let me know when you have time and also make suggestions in which Osmocom topic you are interested in so that we can have some sort of agenda for the meeting to make best use of the time. Best regards, Dieter -- Dieter Spaar, Germany spaar@mirider.augusta.de

Sounds good to me.
25.8. (Sa) or 26.8. (Su) both possible or me
1.9. (Sa) or 2.9. (Su)
I prefer Sa, Su not possible
8.9. (Sa) or 9.9. (Su)
I prefer Sa, Su might also work
So please let me know when you have time and also make suggestions in which Osmocom topic you are interested in so that we can have some sort of agenda for the meeting to make best use of the time.
As I was only playing around with osmocom.bb and having basic knowledge in GSM and other 3GPP protocols I am open to every topic. Tetra is of interest for me because of the "Digitaler Behördenfunk" (firefighters) and I am especially interested in anything SIGTRAN-related.

I'm fine with any of those dates. So I'll leave it to the other attendeeds to decide on the date. I currently cannot confirm 100% yet, but at least if no urgent issue comes up, I'm planning to be there. It would be a nice 630km motorbike ride from Berlin, if the weather is not too bad... I prefer the second weekend (1.9./2.9). Whether it's Saturday or Sunday I don't mind, both is possible for me. I'm open to every topic that's GSM-related (and newer protocols). Tetra is also interesting. Like Martin I was playing around with osmocom.bb and have basic GSM-knowledge. Regards, Alex

There will however be some discussion of the 29c3 field test of OpenBSC[1] and maybe even a bit of work done on the system that we used both at the last CCC Camp and at 28c3. For those who will participate at 29c3 but can't make it to CCCB on Wednesday we'll try to bridge between the meeting and the internets. //Peter [1] http://openbsc.osmocom.org/trac/wiki/FieldTests/29c3 (The wiki page will get some more updates in the next days.)

Hi folks. My time is very limited at the moment and i can observe a decreasing interest in the Osmocom Berlin meetings so i will no longer organize meetings in the future. The main problem is that somebody must be there to open the door and let you in. If somebody else wants to organize future meetings it has to be someone with a key to the CCCB location. Regards, Philipp Maier

I'm sorry to hear this. Regarding the decreasing interest: Maybe we should go back one step and look at a monthly rather than bi-weekly schedule?

Hi All.
I'm sorry to hear this. Regarding the decreasing interest: Maybe we should go back one step and look at a monthly rather than bi-weekly schedule? Sounds like a good idea. If enough people would be interested in a meeting i would continue doing it but maybe there is no more a need for a regular meeting i don't know...
Maybe we should do a survey now. All ones who are interested in a monthly meeting (lets say every last Wednesday) should write an email (+1).
[which is available to every CCCB member, like Peter, Holger, dexter, myself]
Sure, but the CCCB is not so much frequented at the moment. You have to be lucky to meet others when you come on another day than tuesday or thursday. regards. Philipp
