BS-11 RX/TX-Ports connected?

Hello! when you look at http://openbsc.osmocom.org/trac/attachment/wiki/BS11_Configuration/bs11_conn... you see that the second rx/TX-Ports are connected. Is this absolutly nesessary? T. -- Wer Rechtschreibfehler findet, darf sie behalten!
