Hi, You are mislead by the name "silent call". In reality this does not make the phone transmit voice data, just a strong, high powered radio signal that could be used to locate the device/user by using it as a tracking beacon. I have read that silent-calls in GSM can be used to make a call to a target MS and listen to it without having the target knowing it. Is this theoretically possible ? If yes, can it be done in OpenBSC ?
