like the issue has been fixed upstream in libdbi already in the
Spring of 2014, but no new releases has been made since then.
Could this be all, or are you aware of other memory issues or problems with libdbd?

bugfix?
Good idea, I'll ask if they want to backport it. It was fixed in sid at least.
