I think this was rather aimed at the twitboogle services used over the
networks, which Keith sees most activity going to from Rhizomatica users; That
the current status quo is pretty much all of humanity being oblivious that
we're handing on a golden plate 1st class surveillance data about *all* users
worldwide not even to our own state, but actually to a single commercial entity
somewhere else on the planet, who aren't even bound by the ethics of an elected
government or for the good of whoever, and can basically define themselves what
laws apply to the data.
But obviously that's politics and socio-economics and several layers above the
"free my handset" / "free my mobile network" discussion. It's an
immensely
important subject that's still several magnitudes too under-emphasized...
