As I understand the IRQs on USB, the EP size is relevant for scheduling the bus and the bus will reserve bandwidth for IRQs. Especially for the simbank with 24 devices, this might be relevant.

The linter has other problems, it wants to format untouched things, not the changed line.

As already written, this needs testing.
