Dear all,
as you can see at https://pretalx.sysmocom.de/osmodevcon2019/sneak/ the number of talks / discussions / ... is still quite limited for a four-day event.
If there's anything you'd like to talk about, or you'd like to hear somebody else about, please don't hesitate to submit it in pretalx.
As usual, we can also schedule discussions, it's by far not only about fully-fledged presentations.
Feel free to also suggest topics outside the classic theme of mobile communications, if you think there's something that could be interesting to the audience.
Regards, Harald
Dear Harald,
Me and Keith could talk a bit about HERMES project, where we integrated an HF TNC called Ardop (and associated hardware) to be used as emergency HF backhaul by Rhizomatica's CN (which uses Osmocom stack) though an ESME to carry SMS and a PBX architecture which perform codec2 transcoding and asynchronous audio messages exchange over HF, in a transparent way to the users in an emergency struck situation.

I think this would be very interesting to all of the people with an interest in radioand "obscure" communications systems.
Can I edit the pretalx page? Any suggestion on time slot?
And now with new free software "obscure" OFDM HF modems we can really "do serious things" in HF, even in difficult very long distance paths. ; )

What do you mean with "the pretalx page"?
Anyone can make submissions using pretalx at https://pretalx.sysmocom.de/osmodevcon2019/.
They then will be "accepted" by the programme committee (mostly me). After that, you will have to "confirm" the talk and then it can be scheduled.
Putting together the schedule is only possible for the "organizer" (i.e. Sylvain, Neels, myself). As a submitter you can influence the timeslot by indicating your availability when making the submission.
The entire schedule as shown now is just a draft, we can [and will] change it as late as on the venue. I'll try to do some rough grouping by topic.

that's a great project, honestly. Very much looking forward to hearing more [particularly technical] details on it.

Just to say, if it turns out that we don't fill in all the (day)time with talks,
I'd also happy to have more hacking time in smaller groups. This is always good for learning stuff and therefore contributing.
I know we have the space 24hrz, just that in my old age now.. I don't have 24hrz brain power anymore..
:))
