Hi!
As you may have noted, we have received a travel grant from an
anonymous donor. The amount is actaully quite sizeable, and it may only
be used for travel expenses related to Osmo{Dev}Con. Any money we don't
use from the travel grant cannot be used for other purposes, and
currently we're only at 50% of the funds used.
So I would like to encourage those of you who do not have an employer
paying the travel expenses (and who would have to pay out of their own
personal pocket, most likely from a job unrelated to Osmocom) to apply
for having your travel costs refunded within the grant. This includes
flight tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, hotel invoices, etc.
The procedure on how to apply for it is described at
http://osmocom.org/projects/osmo-dev-con/wiki/OsmoCon2017_TravelGrants
Regards,
Harald

Dear all,
I created this list for the attendees of our invitation-only OsmoDevCon
2017. Looking forward to seeing you at OsmoDev soon.
1) T-Shirt size required
As we will be making t-shirts this year (thanks to Kevin for the
design!), please send your preferred t-shirt size ASAP to
Heike Siedler <hsiedler(a)sysmocom.de>
2) OsmoCon
As you know, we have spun off the Osmocom (User) conference OsmoCon on
April 21st. Registration/Attendance of the two events is separate, as
not every developer wants to be bored with entry-level user talks :P
All of our community participants at OsmoDevCon are invited to OsmoCon free of
charge, but as the event costs quite some money (mostly food + rent), we of
course appreciate if anyone decided to buy a ticket (like Sylvain and Kevin).
So those of you who want to attend OsmoCon on the 21st but who *did not* buy a
ticket in the sysmocom webshop, please let Heike know as soon as possible so we
can plan accordingly.
Thanks!
Regards,
Harald
