No. OsmoMSC has the options of internal MNCC or external MNCC. By definition,
the internal MNCC cannot forward calls to a remote MSC, so you need external
MNCC.
Our only external MNCC implementation is osmo-sip-connector, forwarding the
call via a SIP capable PBX.
Are there any options other than LCR(Linux Call
Router)?
Certainly. From the top of my head I remeber:
- FreeSwitch
- Kamailio
- asterisk
We have config files for some of those in osmo-dev.git, which work for lab
testing purposes. For production grade operation you should know how to
configure your PBX "properly".
Let me also plug an Osmocom specific feature called Distributed GSM (D-GSM).
