no, thats the problem. I checked out at 23.01. and the current git. I 
know, the tree from 23.01. has a working layer1 (what I wrote in first 
mail).

I would tip, that it has to do with the 'git-subtree' update from Harald, 
where he wrote:

But its just a guess.
