I am not saying that these projects never have bugs, but I am saying that unlike many other software projects the people working on these projects are tremendously competent developers, and hence everyone naturally makes an effort not to create unneccessary regressions. Asking which versions are compatible means that you assume that regressions have been created by the developers. This is not very nice. There can certainly be bugs and problems in the code, but those who can help you fix the bugs are not able to magically read your screen so you must describe your problem correctly when you have found something that indeed is a bug.
