Hi Sukchan and othres,
I'm wondering why the MME itself is currently requiring a mongodb database? What is it used for? I'm a bit confused, I thought mongodb was only used by the HSS for subscriber storage. However, it seems that (at least with current nextepc), the MME also needs mongodb. I cannot immediately find any code that uses it?
Regards, Harald
Hi Harald and others,
Basically, MME/SGW/PGW don’t have to connect to the MongoDB server. As such, there is no MongoDB uri in mme/sgw/pgw.conf. See https://github.com/open5gs/nextepc/blob/master/support/config/mme.conf.in
Perhaps, nextepc.conf has the mongodb parameter for developers to use easily. But nextepc architecture don’t want to use DB in mme/sgw/pgw. Only hss/pcrf can connect to database.
Thanks!
Best Regards, Sukchan
