As far as I understand, my patchset implements the points Vadim suggested at the end of his last e-mail. And answering gerrit's comment from Harald: "Do we really have no more pressing needs than re-desinging/defining how the log configuration works?" I want to state again that my patchset is aiming at fixing something broken without trying to redefine or completely redesign the logging system, because indeed I didn't want to spend much time in this, only a few hours required to fix the issue and make it usable, because I'm always losing time and not trusting the logging system due to this broken behavior.
