There is no "preferred reader". Any reader compatible with ISO 7816-2 an -3 should work with the SIM Card. Otherwise, how would one make sure that the sim card works in all phones? > And is the following known to work reliably with the SysmoSim Card? > SIM Reader kit - v1.0http://www.adafruit.com/products/101I contacted > Adafruit.com yesterday and they explained that their device > doesn't work on all Sim Cards. Well, then _they_ should be able to explain why that is, and what exactly those restrictions are. I would strongly recommend for a device that claims compliance to the ISO 7816 specs. And I would go for a reader that supports USB-CCID and is compatible with libccid / pcsc-lite on Linux: http://pcsclite.alioth.debian.org/ccid/supported.html Regards, Harald -- - Harald Welte <laforge at gnumonks.org> http://laforge.gnumonks.org/ ============================================================================ "Privacy in residential applications is a desirable marketing option."
