Problem with QMOD, Telit Modem and ofono

Hello list,

I seem to be hitting a strange problem trying to use a sysmoQMOD with 
Ofono and a Telit Modem (HE910)
There seems to be a window of around 30 seconds after starting 
osmo-remsim-client-st2 whereby ofono cannot talk to the modem.
There is no response to any AT commands on either the Modem or the Aux port.
After about 30 to 40 secs AT commands start working again and I can 
enable the modem.
It seems that switching from physical SIM to remote SIM causes the modem 
to lock-up for a while.
Anyone else seeing a similar issue?

I've upgraded the firmware to the latest (0.5.1.24-bb9b0) but it make no 
difference.
