I just followed this simtrace wiki page instructions to do so (flashing using libusb): https://osmocom.org/projects/simtrace/wiki/SIMtrace_Firmware The wiki page has the firmware attached in the format required by SAM-BA. I compiled it myself with the arm toolchain, though. The tricky part was switching to SAM-BA mode, what the wiki page says is true: sometimes it just not works ... After 3 or 4 attempts it worked. I hope this helps. Regards. 2016-10-16 22:28 GMT+02:00 Holger Freyther : > > > > On 16 Oct 2016, at 22:15, Michael Kramer wrote: > > > > > > Am Freitag, 14. However since holger recommended dfu-util 0.4 I tried the 0.5 version since 0.4 was not available on the website. With the 0.5 version it works. Hope this helps you as well since it's easier to flash. Greetings, Michael Am Dienstag, 08. November 2016 17:47 CET, J. I tried to hold the RESET button while booting - didn't work. I'm a hardware noob so... My question is - Where is the PA0 or the PA1? Keep trying. At Sysmocom all devices are flashed through SAM-BA so your device has been in the right state at least once. > I'm a hardware noob so... > My question is - Where is the PA0 or the PA1? easiest is to look at the PDF of the schematic and board file? It works consistently with 2G cards, but stop working with 3G let cards. Seems to boot and then stops. Has this been fixed? I read about reducing the buffer in the firmware, but this is a challenge creating a bin file as arm-elf is no longer supported and creating a cross compiling toolchain with modern compiler is posing problems. Do you have a bin firmware file with a reduced buffer that works with sim lte cards?
