Hi guys,

I also figured that out and played with the Rest Octets of SI 3, but 
with no succes.
It's true what you said about the Rest Octets Dieter, and it took me 
some time to figure that out for me Harald.

Wether the result is L or H depends on the result of the tested bit 
XOR'ed with the bit which is part of the value 0x2B. So actually you 
should XOR all octets with 0x2B (but only for those who expect an H or L 
as result). This value is not just a random, it is also specified by the 
CSN.1 standard. It would be much clearer if GSM spec put an example and 
not some abstract description which kills my braincells.

Anyway, I'll try your Rest Octets examples, maybe it helps for me. 
Concerning the SI 1, I modified the Cell Channel Description of the SI 1 
myself, according to the DCS1800 standard, but turns out it didn't work 
for me. I assume SI 1 is hardcoded ofcourse.
