[op25-dev] OP25, python, and the upcoming *buntu 20.04 releases - heads up and FYI....

This is merely a historical archive of years 2008-2021, before the migration to mailman3.

A maintained and still updated list archive can be found at https://lists.osmocom.org/hyperkitty/list/op25-dev@lists.osmocom.org/.

Quoting op25 at zellners.com:
> For OP25-boatbod is this Python 3.7 compatible??????

After doing an apt-get install for python3-waitress

Then rerun rx.py

It fails on the import for httplib

And from what I see from 2.7 to 3.x httplib is now http.client so all
the calls for that are now changed....

So I am going to guess that any further attempts to add in the python3
packages needed will still fail to get OP25-boatbod to run till this
any other ABI changes are made...

trace for FYI:
