I agree this is very dirty. Ack on using a union, but maybe there is a better solution. Having a reference would be much better. I'm not sure about port references. I tried a little bit using that way but didn't worked out. Not sure if it's possible, but create a new component and derive RAW_NS/Emulation from it?
