I haven't had a chance to check on the Raspberry Pi to see if this issue is fixed by forcing synchronous mode, but I suspect it is.

I am having the same problem.

EzTV666, Ubuntu 12.04, kernel 3.2.0-23,
latest rtl_sdr from git, 2013-04-30

rtl_fm works fine when only one frequency is specified, hangs after first
frequency is skipped.
