The BCH code is a BCH(63,16,7) code. The decoding alg is quite involved and known as syndrom-based decoding. I found the algorithm a textbook sometime ago which helped me annotate our version but those comments are missing in the version in the repository. The approach is to identify a number of syndromes (possible candidate codewords) and then pick one with the minimum discrepancies (bit changes).
