Sure Don if you wouldnt mind posting the steps and the scrt for me. So to start I need ubuntu 15 or higher installed on a 64bit computer min 8 gigs ram?
Im at prince george bc, last year everywhere went to p25 phase 1 non trunking here
Ive had dsd and sdr running before but it is not as good s op25

64bit, with the last build in 15.10 then upgraded to 16.04
just to be update and cool.
Essential was
the RAM thing, it must be minimum requirement or for sure
the build will choke and throw-up on you oh about 2/3's
thru it all. On my first laptop a Levono T410 had the get
the ram upgrade and a copy of win7 64bit to take advantage
of the extra ram.Win7 32bit doesn't see all the new ram
hence the new Win7 64bit dvd. This  installed and works.It
was a bit expensive but was worth it.Ram and Win7 $175

Second Laptop build was a
Samsung with a bad HDD. This one got a 512GB SSD drive with
Win10 64bit. About $235, laptop was free
This build is my current install and
haven't finished installing the tsv files. I does work
and populates a constellation.
The 2
pc's and intel Q9400, with 8GBram. works greatMy pc is
i5 something with 16gb ram, 512gb ssd. Again works great.
All of them are Windows/Ubuntu dual booting
systems.
I'm in Sacramento California
and don't really have a up and running a Phase2 system
in our area thats up and running.Closest thing we have here
is Placer County CIRN, which does light up in OP-25 even
though not in full operation.

Our latest project is the EastBay P25 phase1
which does the Bay Area system. EBRCS in DSDPlus 2.10 with a
couple of dongles, for some reason they work better then
with  Airspy for the Voice side.The FMPA-VC part whooped me
for about two weeks before I got to work but boy works
great, which turned out to be DSDplus2.8 was screwed up,
2.10 fixed it all.


So, let me know when you wanna go through with
the OP-25 build. I will help you with what I know.

By the way I've been
installing SSD's on all my pc's, and they run fast
and cool. Biggest bang for the buck speed upgrade so far
other than RAM.

Ive installed on kalI via
pybombs but the scope apt either opened blank or just came
up with a bunch of errors as to why it cant run
Ive instaled gnu radio on ubuntu 14 using a
scrit from spench wiki, now when I try to run the op25
install script it tells me I need version 9 or higher
I trued installing again via pybombs on kali
and terminlal shows it as succesful but now grc wont open at
all
I never quite get there, been workin on
installin op25 for about a year now
