(SYS#7165) from reading the discussion it sounds like this patch is not needed anymore and Neels has ideas for a nicer API -> abandoning this patch. I've rebased the next patch in this series as: https://gerrit.osmocom.org/c/osmo-ttcn3-hacks/+/37883
