    My opinion on setting MTU=1500 is that we may want to have that *on all tests* to resemble a more usual scenario, not to workaround any sort of bug we could most probably debug and fix.

    Hence, I'd say if we want to set MTU 1500 we do it automatically for all testsuites being run.

    If others believe different they are welcome to provide feedback and give +1 to merge this patch as is now.

    Also I can also look further at the bug maybe in a few weeks when I get some higher prio stuff done.
