<p>Well, osmo-bts is not really the component of the network that is
handling this, but yes, the answer to your question it is
possible.</p>
<p>What you are looking for is to set the TON (type of number) in
the Short Message that you submit via SMPP to the osmo-msc (or
osmo-nitb)</p>
